Tags
Browse the tag definitions available to your organization and inspect their meaning, category, and severity.
A tag is a labelled finding attached to a scan. Tags come from system detectors, your custom rules, and the AI classifier.
The tag list
Tags shows every tag definition available to your organization with search and a source filter (system vs custom). Click a tag to open its detail drawer, which shows its category, severity, and description.
System vs custom tags
- System tags are maintained by Kaminari Ad and shipped with the detectors that produce them.
- Custom tags are produced by your own detection rules.
Where tags appear
Tags surface on the scan detail page, in scan list filters, and in alerts and webhook payloads — so they are the common thread for filtering and automation.
Archiving a tag
Archiving retires a tag. A retired tag is out of service everywhere: it is no longer assigned to new scans, no longer raises alerts, and drops out of scan detail, scan and alert filters, public reports and webhook payloads. Rules that reference it stop matching, and combo rules that use it as an input can no longer fire.
You can archive and restore the custom tags your organization owns; they stay listed under Archived in your tag catalogue so you can bring them back. Restoring puts the tag straight back into service, but it does not retroactively re-tag the scans processed while it was archived.
System tags are archived by Kaminari Ad when the detector behind them is retired. Those disappear from your catalogue and filters completely — there is nothing left for you to act on.
